「セクシーボイスアンドロボ」の英訳を買ってみた。
オリジナルのセリフのニュアンスを伝えるために、だいぶ工夫してるかんじはする。たとえば三日坊主は「MR. FORGETFUL」になってこれはこれでかっこいい。
ちなみに訳とは関係ないけど、巻頭に載ってる黒田硫黄のIntroductionがおもしろい。

I was having a drink with a female friend of mine one day and she mentioned that when she was a teenager, she used to work as a phone actress. As you can imagine, that really got us going pretty well (partying and drinking, and all that). She told me how she learned a technique to extend the conversation, how there were people with various tastes, and, well, how she used to view her life back then. She had a lot of very interesting stories to tell. So when Shogakukan (the Japanese publisher) approached me about a job, I though my friend's story was perfect. That's how Nico Hayashi was born. Although that female friend's name was not Hayashi or Nico, the story is pretty much based on a true story... Oh well, Keep in mind that this is just manga. My goal was simply to create an interesting story. That's okay, isn't it?
